Today we went to Kindy to read some books to our friends. We had great fun seeing our friends and old teachers again. We felt really happy sharing our stories with them. It was great to have a play with our friends who are going to be coming to school soon. Room 8 are great 'bucket fillers' by being kind and caring to the younger children.

Trout Observatory and DOC centre Tiki Tour
We went to the Trout Observatory and we saw rainbow trout and brown trout. We saw fresh water crayfish too. It costs $2 to get in and we had to push the bar to get in. We counted nine trout. Then we went to the DoC centre and saw a model of a big ship, a map, a Kakapo and a Takahe with two eggs.

Spider Net Tiki Tour
Room 8 went to Lion's Park and climbed up the spider net. We had to use our feet and hands to pull ourselves up. Some of us were really great at climbing to the top already. Libby and Ronan climbed to the top for their very first time. They showed amazing courage and determination to do something new. From the very tippy top of the spider net we could see the mountains and the lake.

Jumping Pillow Tiki Tour
We all bounced on the Jumping Pillow. It felt like we were going to space. There were lots of different colours on it. Green was the hottest colour. When we lay down and listened it sounded like thunder. The jumping pillow was fun. Boing! Boing! Boing!
