Gardening

At the end of Term 3, Room 8 headed out to our school garden and planted radishes and carrots seeds.

 

On October the 21st we went back out to check on our plants but there weren't quite ready.

 

On Friday the 14th of November our radishes were finally ready! We picked them, cleaned them and then ate them. They were delicious!!

 

 

Mr McGee trip

Today the Junior Syndicate travelled down to a Invercargill to the Civic Theatre to watch Mr McGee and the Biting Flea. After the performance we headed to Queens Park for lunch before heading back to Te Anau.

Friday Fun Day

Today we are having 'Friday Funday'. The kids are having lots of fun!

Music Rocks

On Tuesday the 23rd of September Room 8 performed their version of 'We are going on a Bear Hunt'.
The children worked hard to change the words and make it their own. This is a video of the performance.

Polyfest

 

Today we got a bus down to Invercargill and participated in Polyfest. The kids were fabulous! Below are some photos and a video of the kids performing.

Thinking Thursday

Today we had a great 'Thinking Thursday'! Nana Irene helped some Room 1 children make coconut ice, Jacqui was back with her loom bands, Mrs Taylor's group made some super musical instruments and in the hall we had the lego and playdough out.

Music Suite

Today Room 8 and 1 were lucky enough to head down to Fiordland College and visit the Music Suite. Mrs Humphries showed us lots of cool instruments and then she let us play them. We made beautiful music!
